Slide A Pattern is based on a sliding puzzle that was invented in the late nineteenth century. That puzzle challenged you to slide flat pieces arranged on a board into a particular pattern.
Here a randomly selected pattern is divided into 16 pieces and these pieces are scrambled. All you have to do to solve Slider is to rearrange the pattern pieces into the correct order with the blank square (shown with a grey background) in the bottom right hand corner. Rearrange the pattern by pressing one of the pattern-filled squares that surround the blank square. The pattern-filled square will change places with the blank square.
Press the NEW button to see a fresh puzzle or move the SKILL LEVEL bar to the right to make the puzzles more difficult. If, at any time, you cannot find the answer, press the SOLVE button. A picture of the pattern that you are trying to re-create is displayed when you press the HELP button.
If you do not have a touch screen, you can always use your D-pad, trackball or keyboard to solve a Slider puzzle.
